Shany Azaria

I am an Assistant Professor in the Operations Strategy Department at the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University.
My research focuses on congested service systems. I empirically examine how congestion affects operational performance and study mechanisms that can help mitigate its adverse consequences. In recent years, much of my work has examined court systems as a rich setting for studying congestion, delay, and service delivery, as well as a channel for social impact through improved access to justice.
I earned my PhD in Operations Strategy, MBA, and BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University. I was also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Operations Management and Statistics area at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Prior to academia, I spent more than a decade in management consulting, designing and leading improvement processes in large-scale organizations.
